Johnny Weissmuller Tribute

You can tell I didn't spend alot of time on this so If I wrote a paragraph outlining the greatnessof Johnny Weissmuller it just wouldn't seem right next to an awful tribute. So instead I'll just promote my new J Dubbs channel: ruclips.net/user/SwimmingWithTarzan - it is going to have all the TV series Jungle Jim episodes, various TV Appearances and Specials, and misc. clips. No Tarzan however d...

Robert Montgomery Tribute
Просмотров 21 тыс.14 лет назад
When I was naming the clips for this video, I labeled one "Classic Montgomery Face" and it made me realize how I could never do a tribute for any modern day actor. No one brings theirself to their character anymore. It is all about adopting a "realistic" approach to the character. Well I don't want real. And that's why I make these tributes. It is obvious that Robert Montgomery was like most of...

Maureen O'Sullivan

Miss O'Sullivan - actress, writer (published short stories), newscaster (Today Show), and if anyone could be called a mother in Hollywood, it was Maureen ( Seven Children). She was Jane to Johnny Weissmuller's Tarzan. She was MGM's top ingenue starlett co-starring in The Thin Man, Anna Karenina, A Day at the Races, and Tug Boat Annie not to mention a sleu of her own vehicles (watch Hide-out!). ...

Get the Hell Out of My Life! - Judy Garland
47 but looked and sounded 65. So sad. Poor Judy.
She was only 50 but sounded and looked 75
I love her. I wish I had been alive in her time and financially able to take care of her. I would have bailed her out in a second if I had been a Kennedy friend or a Hollywood friend. She needed a debts paid fresh start.
Such a sweet and lovely lady
johny eager my fav film of his
So full of herself. Rest in peace
Watched Tarzan every time I could and tried and tried to yell like him.
Oh wow. Jeez. You can hear how tired, angry, and bitter she is with everyone here, especially in her scathing sarcasm. Judy probably wanted pretty strongly to say this in public, but couldn’t bring herself to do so.
My god. She sure had a heartbreaking story. And worse still? She’s not unique in her story. At all. Countless others are like her. Poor Judy. You can hear how depressed and how fed up she was with everything. Jeez.
Aw. Jane didn’t know the difference between monkeys and apes.
Judy was more Christian than many of the so called Christians. She did right by publicly defending herself. The entertainment industry was nasty to her. I say this about her regularly, I know that she is an angel in Heaven!
So the kennedy Assassination brings me here ... Judy garland and Kennedy. Judy garland confessed... A named named D Wilson wrote the original hommage to Judy garland and Kennedy but media’s spun it to a Os shooting with magical trajectories and replaced Judy with jackie ..
I tried MY DAAAMNDEST! Me too, Judy, me too.
Its so sad that people did not see her behavior as characteristic of a late stage alcoholic and drug addict who literally grew up being fed amphetimines and sleeping pills. Her nervous system and mental clarity were shot and her language reflects that. Its a sin that no one in Hollywood bothered to take responsibility for what happened to young performers like her and tried to get her into a hospital that treats severe addiction.
I grew up watching Tarzan.
This is not Judy Garland! This is someone imitating Judy Garland! I've heard the original recording or this! This is not Judy Garland
6:43 when she starts screaming, that voice is undoubtedly Garlands. No one has ever had a voice that distinct, this is Judy.
LOVE HIM!!! ❤❤❤
Poor Cheetah. Another abused animal in hollywood
This is my grandma! She was the best of the best! She told me so many great stories growing up.. & she told me this so and I loved it so much. I get my sense of humor from her & I'm so glad. Miss her alot. She was truly an amazing woman! Loved her dearly!
You were so fortunate 😊
Since Jane and Tarzan weren’t married the Breen production code made them “ find a son” instead of Jane giving birth to a son.
Happy Birthday. 🎈🎂🎁
.. how lovely to have such vivid images of her..forever🥰✨💐
After 6:00, things get hot
Brutal
Sid Luft really gets it here
🫳🎤
He was also the true Tarzan. Ron Ely played the part but always looked out of place. Looked more like he should be in a three-piece suit.
He was my first crush.
A life that required substances to handle. A person who became unwell from them. Will always be seen as crazy even if it wasn't real.🤕
❤🪽🪦💐
No disrespect to Ron Ely or Chris Lambert, but Johnny was the best Tarzan
She talks about lawyers. So it must be the same for women in the industry there for decades. Johnny Depp has his lawyers and connections and all and what they did to a woman. I'm not her fan but the case is so off as well. The women there must either suffer in silence or get destroyed as Marilyn Monroe, as Judy, as victims of Kirk Douglas.
I think her biggest problems and the most valid source of her anger came from Fields and Begelman, her 'managers', when she made a lot of money and ended up only in debt. I don't think Sid Luft would have let them get away with that if he'd still been involved with her.
I understand her anger with the exception of calling her fans 'sons of bitches'. "I've entertained you, you sons of bitches..."
Even with binoculars you can tell it isn't her.
I WILL forever HATE Sid Luft: he used Judy for money until the day he died! ALL she was to him was a cash cow. I hate how Lorna and he try to act like he loved Judy so; all he did was sell her out and to continue trying to to make money off her CBS show. Sid Luft is in hell for EVERYTHING he did to poor Judy. My Abuelito was a carpenter for M-G-M from the silents-we were “honored guests” to the famous M-G-M auction in ‘69. I remember seeing Judy’s ruby slippers. He used to regale us with stories of how Joan Crawford always brought him Christmas gifts 🎁 and learned some Spanish to speak with him. He was sooo impressed she did this for him!!!! My Abuelito was buried at the FIRST motion picture workers cemetery in Culver City, Candelario Apodaca!!!! I’m honored to be a part of that world 🌍!!
Fred McMurray is very handsome in this picture. I wonder how old was he?
Anybody know when this was recorded? I’m curious
1965
howard stern plays this all the time.
Hattie McDaniel steals this movie. Her comedic timing is impeccable.
He could do everything! What a man!
I feel like a lot of her fans must know the pain of speaking and speaking and SCREAMING and screaming and still not one person listens to you. For anyone feeling that or carrying a similar wound, may you find peace and healing the way she finally has.
What was the double's name? Did she have any type of film career after this one?
God bless her… the industry treated her so appallingly
Irving Berlin must have known this tune as it is very similar to the start of the verse to 'Over There'.
Drunken nonsense. Bunch of weirdos acting like this rambling is profound.
matt smith would play a great leslie howard
Several times during these short minutes, she states that she's "alone, as usual". What a crime! This beautiful woman gave her life to be a source of joy and happiness and music to young and old. It's massively heartbreaking that she finds herself with NO ONE who REALLY cares.....alone. I love Judy more than ever 💘.
it wasn´t just the producers fault,. She didn´t take the right choices.
Can you imagine you’re finally starring in a movie and you can’t even show your face I wonder who the woman was who replaced her?
